MATERIAL SYSTEMS
As part of this module, we explored the concept of forces with the specific objective of achieving a one-meter span using friction as the primary structural principle.
In the Material Systems module, I explored the fundamental relationship between materials, forces, and structure. Through hands-on exercises, I gained an understanding of how different materials behave under tension, compression, and load.​One key challenge was designing a structural model with a 1-meter span, using minimal materials while ensuring stability and efficiency. This exercise deepened my understanding of load distribution, joinery, and the creative use of materials in construction.​
